It is highly unlikely that someone gains unauthorised access to a Miniclip account, or change its email unless that account is Facebook connected, as account changes can only be done by our Support team.
If someone else played using your account, we recommend you to change your password. Here you will find a link that you can use to change the password (doesn't work for accounts only connected to Facebook).
If your account is Facebook connected and your Facebook account is compromised, that is not of Miniclip's responsibility. However, if this happens, please change your Facebook account password as fast as possible. If needed, check the guidelines how to behave in those occasions.
Also be sure to end session of every device that is not yours right after changing the password.
If your Gmail is having an issue like this, you can reset password or check the guidelines about how to recover a hijacked account.
Take into consideration that forced sign out from the game is not a guarantee that you can fully recover your account, so always remember to log out whenever you use a device that is not your own and do not share your account with no one.
Once changes are applied to your Facebook or Google account, they will automatically be applied to all games you use it.
Please remember that you are responsible for your account and you should not share the account details with other people.

Are you receiving a message saying you can't upgrade your 8 Ball Pool guest account for some reason?

Upgrading your 8 Ball Pool guest account as soon as possible is the best way to keep it safe and avoid losing it, as such we definitely recommend you upgrade it!

If you are trying to upgrade it and are receiving an error message, this could be due to a couple of reasons:

  • The email address you are trying to us has already been used for another Miniclip account;
  • The username is not unique - be sure to choose a unique username with no special characters (you can use - and _ ).

To avoid losing your 8 Ball Pool account, we recommend you first upgrade it by creating a Miniclip ID account, and then if you so wish you can link it to a Facebook or Google account (with the same email address as the Miniclip ID account). This avoids losing the guest account by trying to link it to a Facebook/Google account already in use, which would be quite upsetting.

Please note that when an account receives a warning, has its balance reset or is banned all the leaderboard points will be reset as well and will show as 0.

  • My leaderboard winnings have not been increasing!
If during your gaming session, you win games but, when you check your leaderboard, the value and stand of your winnings remain the same, you may have been temporarily suspended from our leaderboard.
This occurs when exploits such as third-party applications or game modifiers have been tracked in your account.
You will still be able to access your account, and you are able to play as normal, however, you will not gain progress on the weekly leaderboards, for a while.
If you continue to use exploits after this, we may increase the leaderboard suspension time for an indefinite amount of time, or even apply a balance suspension or permanent ban.
Miniclip will not provide you with any information with regards to the duration of the leaderboard suspension, or as to what exploits were being tracked.
Make sure to uninstall every application that helps you gain an advantage over your opponents.
  • I received a warning pop up on my account and my balance was reset!
This is a sign that Miniclip just provided you with a last warning before executing a permanent action.
Your account was flagged by our system for suspicious behavior, and your balance was reduced.
Take this as a last chance to start over and play the game as it was intended, without modifications, or exploits.
If you have any apps or tools installed on your device that would allow you to modify or help you play the game, please make sure to uninstall these apps or tools immediately. If you have been transferring coins between accounts, that too violates the rules of the game.
  • My account has been banned!
Accounts that have had multiples tracked exploits are permanently banned and will not be reactivated.
Exploits include, but are not limited to, trying to transfer coins between accounts, and using third-party game modifiers.
Miniclip reserves the right to ban an account without previously giving it a warning if such action is considered necessary by us.
 Miniclip will NOT be sharing its tools and methods for finding and proving misuse and inappropriate behavior. Miniclip will also not provide you with the amount of instances or the dates on which they were tracked.
If you contact us asking for that information, it will not be provided to you.
  • Can I get a warning, suspension or ban removed?
No.
We have a very reliable system that tracks, warns and removes players from the game when there is enough proof of exploits.
Permanent bans, suspensions, and warnings will not be revoked or removed.
If your account is banned, you will not be able to unlink this account from Facebook or change the email of the banned account.
Please play the game as it is meant to be played, and you will never have to experience any of the above-described situations.
  • How does this affect my Club?
If you get banned temporarily or suspended from your leaderboard, your Club winnings will return to zero, as if you never played that week.
This is something to take into account when you use any type of cheat, since it will affect your Club directly!

  • transfer Coins between accounts by any means that attempts to bypass normal playing rules or that is contrary to the general purpose of a game (for example: by using one account to intentionally lose a game to another account for the purpose of transferring credits between the accounts).

The support team changed the internal policies and unfortunately it is no longer possible for you to reset your account since December 2018.
We want the game to be fair for all players! It is important for us that players level mirrors their skill and advancement in the game!
Higher level players invested a lot of time and effort into continuously improving their skills and account. We believe that this should be shown to all as something to be proud of!
Therefore it won't be possible for you to do this procedure anymore.
However it was usual for players to think that the "reset account" procedure was the same as the "delete account" one. These are different procedures and you still can delete your account if you wish. To know more about what the delete procedure implies and does you can check this article:

Keep in mind that if you delete your account you are definitely deleting all your game data, account and personal data from our servers and this is a procedure that might take up to 30 days. However in some cases, if we are unable to validate your account (ex. because you took a longer time to send us the account details or some data is missing or invalid), we might take more then 30 days.

Unlinking an account from Facebook allows a player to login using the Miniclip ID option, once we remove the Facebook link from the account.
 It's only possible to unlink an account from Facebook if the account has a Miniclip ID.
 Unlinking an account from Facebook may be necessary to do in the following situations:
  • Player wants to delete Facebook;
  • Player wants to temporarily suspend Facebook;
  • Player wants to use Google to login instead;
  • Player wants to use Miniclip ID to login instead;
  • Player wants to link a new Facebook account. 

These are a few of the reasons but there may be others! 😊
Please keep in mind there is a very small risk that after unlinking the account a player will not be able to link a new Facebook account, or use the old Facebook account on a different account.
 If you wish to unlink your account from Facebook please open a ticket with us and make sure to send us all the following information.

As you may have noticed, on the Edit Profile section of our website, we are currently working on a new Email Validation feature.

This is a new step we are taking to guarantee your account safety and to avoid the creation of accounts with invalid emails.

Miniclip is aware that some players have decided, for one reason or another, to create account with invalid email addresses and since you will not be able to validate the account Miniclip is giving you the chance to contact us so we can include a valid email on your account!

For that you will need to follow all these steps (if you do not your request will be considered invalid):
  1. Fill the Support Request Form https://goo.gl/FZ854P with the Subject “Email Validation Request - invalid email”
  2. In the Description please include the following details:
  • Date of birth(dd/mm/yyyy):
  • Approximate date(dd/mm/yyyy) the profile was established:
  • User ID Number:
  • Nickname:
  • Old email address:
  • New email address:
  • Password that you would like to use:
  • Receipts for purchases (if any were made):
Any other details will not be considered to validate the ownership of the account, we will not be making ANY changes if we cannot guarantee that the account belongs to you.
Send your request until the 24th of November 2017, after that accounts with invalid email addresses will remain with the original emails and the loss of the account will result in it not being playable any longer.

Your account was banned because it was associated with actions in breach of help. This may include, but is not limited to, actions such as transferring coins between two or more accounts, account sharing, modifying the game services, and/or other conduct which does not comply with the Rules.

Please notepermanent bans will not be revoked or removed.

If you have any queries relating to your ban, please read the Q&As below which may provide clarification on any queries you may have.

I was banned but I didn’t use any 3rd party applications or transfer coins!
There are a variety of reasons why your account may have been banned, however in every case it will ultimately be due to a breach of  Miniclip
Please note that Miniclip has reliable detection systems in place which track suspicious behaviour, and if there is sufficient evidence available Miniclip will ban players to prevent the player from negatively impacting the game experience for other users.
I would like to see proof
To preserve the security systems currently in place for 8 Ball Pool, Miniclip will NOT be sharing its tools and methods for finding and proving misuse and inappropriate behaviour. Miniclip will also not provide you with the number of instances or the dates on which they were tracked.

Your account can be deleted if you make a valid deletion request, but due to security reasons, your email, Facebook or Google account will be still locked with the banned account.  Please note that we have an overriding legitimate interest to process your data in this way and to maintain the integrity of Miniclip game services.  Please see the if you have any concerns about how your data is handled.
I made purchases, is there anything you can do?
Most of the time, accounts with purchases will receive a coin suspension prior to being Permanently Banned.
If your account has been suspended for a second time or Permanently Banned [due to suspicious behaviour relating to the misuse of the Coins], you will lose all the balance of your Coins and access to your purchased items, and you are not entitled to any reimbursement, refund, or any other compensation, except at our sole discretion.

What are the rules and guidelines (8 Ball Pool)







1.0- Object of the game of 8-ball


Eight-ball is a pocket billiard game played with 15 object balls and a cue ball. To win a game of 8-ball, a player must legally pocket the eight ball after which time his group of balls, either solids or stripes, is completely pocketed.

2.0- Winner of the Break

Player to break in first match is chosen randomly, then the player to break is chosen in a turn based manner. (not totally sure on this one yet).

3.0- Racking the Balls

The 15 balls are racked in a triangle shape with the foremost ball being any ball except the eight. The order of the balls should be random with the exception of the eight ball which is placed in the middle of the third row, and the two back corner balls which are a stripe and a solid respectively.

4.0- The Break

ANY break is considered legal as long as the object balls are touched. If none of the object balls are touched, the opponent has ball in hand and then can break from any position on the table.

4.1- 8-ball in on break - If the 8 ball is pocketed on the break shot it is NOT a win of game. The 8 ball is automatically reset to it's original position. If the 8 ball is pocketed on the break and the cue ball scratches the opponent has ball in hand.

4.2- Open table after break - Regardless of how many solids or striped balls are made on the break, the table is open after the break. In an open table situation, any ball but the 8 ball can be hit first in any combination shot. Once solids or stripes are determined for a player, only their respective balls (solids or stripes) can be struck first in a combination shot. The 8 ball can be used in any combination shot, just not struck first.

4.3- Foul on break - If a player Fouls on the break, the opponent has ball in hand.

4.4- Break Box - The cue ball can be placed anywhere behind the C-line.

5.0- Call Shot

There is NO shot calling.

6.0- Legal Shot

A legal shot after the break occurs when:

a. The shooter's cue ball touches any numbered ball on the table, on an open table, with the exception of the eight ball, and drives either it or any other ball after contact, or the cue ball to a rail.

b. The shooter's cue ball touches a numbered ball that corresponds with the shooters ball group (solids or stripes), once determined, before hitting any other ball, and driving any ball or the cue ball to a rail thereafter, or pocketing any ball except the eight ball (unless player is on the eight ball).

c. If an object ball is frozen to a rail and is the intended ball on which to make a legal hit, the cue ball must either strike a rail after making contact with the frozen ball, or the frozen ball must contact a different rail.

Any failure to perform a legal shot is a foul and cue ball in hand is awarded to the incoming player.

7.0- Playing

A player continues to play until he fails to pocket a ball that corresponds to his ball group (or any numbered ball but the eight on an open table) or the eight ball once his ball group has been completely pocketed, or until a foul has been committed.

8.0- End of Inning

If a player fails to pocket a ball on a legal shot, that player's inning ends and the opponent takes the table where the balls lie. If it is a foul that ends the player's inning, the incoming player is awarded cue ball in hand.

9.0- Fouls

All fouls result in the opponent of the player who committed the foul being awarded cue ball in hand. The following are fouls:

a. All ball fouls- if a player touches any ball in any way other than a legal stroke.(see section 6)

b. Pots Cue ball.

c. A player fails to shoot before the timer runs out.

d. A player shoots and fails to hit any balls.

10.0- Winning a Game

A player wins a game by legally pocketing the eight ball after which time all the balls of his corresponding ball group have been pocketed.

11.0- Losing a Game

A player loses a game by committing any foul on a shot that results in the eight ball being pocketed (see section 12 for guidelines on playing the eight ball) or pocketing the eight ball prematurely.

12.0- Playing the Eight Ball

When playing the eight ball:

a. The eight ball must always be the first ball contacted by the cue ball, and it or any other ball including the cue ball must contact a rail after the initial hit. Failure to do this is a foul and the opponent is awarded cue ball in hand; it is not a loss of game.

b. Combinations, caroms, kisses, are all legal as long as the eight ball is the first ball contacted by the cue ball.

c. If a player pots the cue ball while playing the eight ball, it is NOT a loss of game unless the eight ball goes in first. Not making a legal hit on the eight ball is a Ball in Hand foul- not an automatic loss of game.

13.0- Illegally Pocketed Balls

All balls that are illegally pocketed stay "down," with the exception of the eight ball which results in a loss of game for the shooter.
